Since SeaWorld opened in the late 1950's it has been regarded as one of the most exciting places to go to. The trainers there are very friendly and kind to the adults and children that visit there. The trainers always say how much they care for the whales and dolphins there and say they are all in great shape and love to perform shows. Ever since early 2013 a documentary criticizing SeaWorld called Blackfish has came out and has creating massive controversy about SeaWorld and the way they treat their Whales. There has not been one Orca atr any Marine Park around the world that has died of natural causes. All of the Orcas that are captive die of viral and bacterial infections, Whale on Whale Aggression, and Stillbirths. Most of the whalesat marine parkshave attacked their trainers and some have even killed their trainers. Some Whales are kept in isolation. Orcas have stronger and more emotional bonds than humans. Most but not all captive are separated from their mothers and families at a young age. Alot of the Orcas at Marine Parks especially SeaWorld are inbred and some are even mother son incest. SeaWorld lies about so many things about their Whales. SeaWorld says Orcas do not care about their families but natural Orcas revolve their whole lives around their families. SeaWorld alsosays that Orcas die around 25 to 30 years old but in the wild Male Orcas can live up to be 70 and female Orcas can live up to be over 100 years old. Also in SeaWorld's early days they captured Orcas by running their parents off and blocking their parents away from them and catch them via corrals and the mothers and pod of that calf would cry and yell and even attempt to save them. The Orcas got so used to being captured so they developed a strategy to avoid being captured but eventually their strategy failed. Some Orcas even died attempting to save their calves. Alot of the calves died due to the stress of the capture. SeaWorld is now currently being under enormous pressure from activists and PETA (People for Ethnic Treatment of Animals) Its cruel to treat God's creations like this and it's really hard to watch people support those type of places. Tons of Orca captures took place in Puget Sound Washington, and Puget Sound, Canada the Southern and Northern Resident population has been greatly reduced and damaged since these captures stopped. Other captures took place in Iceland (Where Tilikum and other Orcas were captured), off the coast of Russia, and Taiji Japan.
